We decided a couple weeks ago that we'd spend the whole weekend reconnecting since we've been so busy for the last several weeks. Then we decided since the weather was going to be nice, we'd work on the landscaping and lawn during the day and Saturday night was going to be date night. We had a spectacular dinner planned with a movie to follow...
Troy took the wheel barrow we borrowed back to his mom's while I got ready and when he returned he had a bouquet of flowers for me. Very sweet. We hopped in the truck and headed out to Thomas' Steakhouse only to find it was closed for the day. We didn't really feel like waiting around for a movie to start so we went to a couple of stores to find a battery for Troy's four wheeler then to our favorite mexican restaurant. We stopped for gas and headed home and watched a bad episode of mad tv. Not exactly the hot date we had planned, but being us, we still had fun. You know you're with the right person when your plans get turned totally upside down and your date ends up being a shopping trip for a battery, but you still have a great time together. I love that about us.
And a quick side note....Ohio State is losing. (sigh...) maybe they'll pull through?
